FUN FACTS: German Heinrich Kubis is considered the world’s first flight attendant for his work onboard the Zeppelin LZ 10 Schwaben, the world’s first commercially successful passenger aircraft. Kubis was also the attendant on the LZ 129 Hindenburg and survived its fateful final flight on May 6, 1937 by jumping out a window as the cabin approached the ground.
