Fun Facts: The Constitution of 3 May 1791 which Polish Constitution Day celebrates was in effect for only 18 months and three days – in 1792 Russia and Catherine the Great invaded the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to restore the aristocracy and by 1795 the entirety of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was partitioned out to Russia, Prussia, and Austria-Hungary.
